A Safe Place
A Safe Place provides safe housing and supportive counseling options to survivors of domestic violence at no charge. Additional services include abuser intervention groups, and education programs for professionals, students and the community-at-large.

HACES (Hispanic American Community Education and Services)
HACES provides services in the areas of immigration, mental health counseling, access to private and public benefits, and educational opportunities. It is recognized by the Bureau of Immigration Appeals and has BIA-accredited staff. Since 2003, HACES has been recognized by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights as the lead agency for the North Suburbs Citizenship Collaborative.

Open Communities
Open Communities acts as a voice for housing, economic, and social justice in Chicago’s northern suburbs. They provide fair and affordable housing counseling services, community education, and advocacy. Notable resources include advice on Fair Housing, Landlord/Tenant Issues, Foreclosure Prevention, and Homesharing.

SHALVA
SHALVA supports Jewish women experiencing and healing from domestic abuse, through counseling, supportive services, and community education in a culturally-sensitive and caring environment. Their clients receive free and individualized services for as long as needed. They are the only Jewish agency in the Chicago metropolitan area specifically certified by the State of Illinois to provide domestic violence counseling.
